Our mission is to challenge weight stigma in physical activity spaces, and provide tools to help individuals and professionals embrace weight-inclusive, affirming, and sustainable physical activity.

At WIPA, we believe that people of all sizes deserve access to joyful, empowering, and stigma-free movement. We reject the idea that bodies need to change to be worthy of care, inclusion, or respect. Instead of centering weight loss or appearance, we focus on creating movement spaces that support autonomy, well-being, and belonging—where everyone feels welcome just as they are.

Born at Western University, WIPA is led by a team of academic researchers and inclusive physical activity enthusiasts. We’re united by a shared commitment to physical activity equity, body liberation, and evidence-based physical activity promotion.
